About Our Museum

El Monte is the oldest settlement in the San Gabriel Valley. Our 5,000-square-foot space is filled with unusual artifacts celebrating our heritage. The Museum curator and docents provide guided tours through the museum while sharing El Monte's rich history.

Pictures and artifacts from Gay's Lion Farm which was in El Monte from 1923 until World War II.
